Payments, Cancellation, and Refund Policy

Payments

  • A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your holiday.

  • The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to departure. If booking within 30 days of departure, full payment is required upfront.

  • The person signing the booking form guarantees payment of the full amount due and is responsible for ensuring it reaches the Company on time.

  • Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other methods as authorized by Himalayan Holidays.

Cancellations by You

  • If you cancel your booking, cancellation fees will apply as follows:

    • More than 30 days before departure: Deposit forfeited (50% of total booking cost).

    • Within 30 days of departure: Full payment is forfeited.

  • If you fail to pay the balance by the due date, your booking will be treated as cancelled and cancellation charges will apply.

Cancellations by the Company

  • Himalayan Holidays reserves the right to cancel any tour at any time before departure, even after confirmation.

  • In such cases, you will receive a full refund of amounts already paid. No additional compensation will be provided.

  • Tours may also be altered or rescheduled due to unforeseeable circumstances such as weather, natural disasters, political instability, strikes, technical issues, or other events beyond the Company’s control.

Changes to Your Tour

  • Minor changes (e.g., slight adjustments to transport, meals, or accommodations of equal or higher standard) do not qualify for compensation.

  • Major changes (e.g., cancellation of key activities, accommodation downgrade, transport delays over 12 hours) may allow you to:

    1. Accept the change and continue your holiday.

    2. Choose another holiday with the Company.

    3. Cancel your holiday.

  • Compensation for major changes may be offered, except where changes are caused by Force Majeure (natural disasters, war, civil unrest, strikes, adverse weather, or other events outside the Company’s control).

Refunds

  • Any refund will be limited to amounts already paid for unused services, minus administrative fees.

  • The Company is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from cancellations or changes.

  • It is strongly advised that travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies, and high-altitude trekking.

Right to Refuse Service

  • The Company reserves the right to refuse or remove any traveler whose health, behavior, or conduct may endanger themselves or others on the tour.

  • In such cases, the traveler will only be eligible for a refund for unused services, minus any applicable fees.
